my week in photos

My week in photos is a weekly post where I share some of the photos that I took during the week that (mostly) didn’t make it to my Instagram feed. I’m always looking for ways to improve my photography skills and welcome any comments.

Well, the first week of summer break went as expected. My apartment is significantly cleaner and my email significantly quieter.

Scooter seems to be doing much better this week. We’re dosing him twice per day. In the morning he gets gabapentin (known as Neurontin in the human world) for the pain and prednisolone for the inflamation. At night, he get more gabapentin and tramadol for pain. This is what our life has become. Just an endless supply of syringes and gloves.

On the upside, Scooter appears to be a mostly willing and mostly compliant patient. I think he is coming to realize that he feels better after the medicine. Also, his appetite is much better. All good things.

Our bell pepper plants are really taking off! I’m expecting little flowers any day now. Did you know that bell pepper plants smell just like bell peppers?! I had no idea. My jalapeño plant (rest in peace, dude) did not smell like jalapeños and my avocado plant doesn’t smell like avocados.

I went a little wild and decided to plant all three starts in my Aerogarden. I’m hoping that they’ll all play nice and that I won’t have to sacrafice any of them for the good of the garden.

Sisko got a bath this week. He always looks like we’re trying to murder him, but I’m just not a fan of having a smelly dog in bed with me.

And lastly, I had a frugal win this week. Justin has been hounding me to get a new purse because the stitching on the strap had come undone and he was worried that the strap would snap. My issue was that the rest of the purse was perfectly fine and I didn’t want to spend money on a new one. I decided to stitch it back together myself. We’ll see how well the job holds up. If this fails in the near future, I might just washi tape it.

How did your week go?
