my week in photos

My week in photos is a weekly post where I share some of the photos that I took during the week that (mostly) didn’t make it to my Instagram feed. I’m always looking for ways to improve my photography skills and welcome any comments.

At the beginning of the week, my students turned in their final assignments of the semester. While I’m sure that they’re happy to be done, I’ve been slowly digging myself out of this mountain of work. As of this writing, I have about 10 more papers to go and the end is in sight!

Justin must have realized that I was going to need some extra support this week. Look at that giant ice cream he got for me! I didn’t eat it all in one sitting, but I was tempted after an awesome restorative yin yoga class. It was the perfect way to start the week with calm and centeredness.

After missing small dog meet-up for two months in a row, we made it a priority for Sisko’s mental health to go this past week. He had a blast! I know the picture is a little blurry, but it was the best shot I could get of him. He zipped from place to place non-stop for over an hour. Poor buddy was pretty tuckered out by the end.

Lastly, spring feels like it’s here to stay. The whole week was in the mid- to high-70s and the sun was shining. There were quite a few days where we got two walks in and I’ve the windows open full-time.

One thing that I love about living in the Southwest is that my allergies are back in check. I never had a problem with spring until living in Michigan. You know your allergies are bad when spring means breaking out the Claritin-D and tissues, knowing the state laws about how often you can buy Claritin-D, and avoiding the outside (even though it’s gorgeous). This comic sums up my misery pretty well. Thankfully, Colorado weather is agreeable with me.

How did your week go?
