My week in photos is a weekly post where I share some of the photos that I took during the week that (mostly) didn’t make it to my Instagram feed. I’m always looking for ways to improve my photography skills and welcome any comments.
Well, this past weekend was bizarre. On Sunday, we were supposed to go for our monthly small dog meet-up, but that got canceled due to shenanigans. About an hour before we were supposed to head out, I got a phone call from a police officer telling me that my brother had been detained for questioning. He was okay, but they needed him to answer questions and wouldn’t be able to join us. Then I got a call a few hours later for me to come to pick up my brother because the police had sealed his home and were waiting for a warrant. The poor guy only had shoes, an undershirt, and PJ pants. It turns out that his landlord had shot their neighbor and an investigation was underway. My brother is NOT involved. We decided to try getting our fix from a SodaStream. By my calculations, the machine and start-up supplies will have paid for itself in four months. Yes, we drink A LOT of bubble water!Grocery shopping on a Friday afternoon was AWESOME! I had the entire produce section to myself. Is this what retiring early is like? Is this my why of FI?Here we have braised bison short ribs over mashed potatoes. The meat was part of this month’s Locavore delivery. In addition to these short ribs, we got a second set of them, salmon, and three pounds of ground beef. We’ve been really impressed with the quality of meat and the WONDERFUL service. Since we live in a secured building, Troy gives me a call when he gets here and I run down to meet him. I love it. Right now, they are looking to grow their subscription base.
