My week in photos is a weekly post where I share some of the photos that I took during the week that (mostly) didn’t make it to my Instagram feed. I’m always looking for ways to improve my photography skills and welcome any comments.
1. My jalapeño plant is still going strong. I harvested 16 peppers of it this week! Thankfully, I have a few friends who very much enjoy making jalapeño poppers, so the harvest went to a good home.
2. One of my favorite conversations of the week had to do with the litter box. I have a friend who just got a new kitten. We talked about the joys of cat ownership (Do you ever really own them or is it the other way around?) and litter box management. I may have to write a post about this since I seem to have quite a few thoughts on the topic.
3. I’m back on the wagon this week and working on getting my diet back in check. With Thanksgiving, Christmas, and the end of the semester, I have been indulging too much and my clothes are starting to “talk back.”
4. We found these geese taking a swim while we were out on our walk the other day. It has been in the low to mid-40s for the past week and sunny. We’ve been taking advantage of it and getting out for daily walks.
5. We may have started a new tradition with some of our local friends — pre-Christmas brunch! We had French toast casserole, bacon, and blackberry mimosas. The kids got to open their presents with us too!
6. Just us out on a walk. I cannot believe how nice our weather has been. Colorado suits us!
Oh, girl, I am getting back on the bright line eating program starting January 1. What worked for me when I first started it was committing to it for 30 days. Jan 1 seems like a nice clean start. So, now I want to talk about my WordPress blog. I have a hard time finding it because I haven’t used it much but I am commenting here using that account.
Part of the reason for all of the walking (and pictures celebrating my steps) is that I wanted to build up a streak. It’s easier for me to stay committed when I know that I’ll break it. I’m playing to my competitive strengths.
As for the WordPress site, you can actually import your blogger posts to this account so that you won’t lose all of your previous work. We can set up a time to video chat and I can help you. Don’t think that you have to come to WordPress just because I did.
